Had some old notes from all the way back to CS3 and found some handy notes on blend modes. So I wrote this down. Share it around. I think the original layout came from a Lynda course.
Did a render of Magnus Jentof’s design for Inventbygg.no He had a revit-file provided at grabcad. Wanted to get a better feel for handling imported revit-files into 3ds max. Revit-files tend to provide a few hours with cleaning up geometry, but I’m battling how much work is needed in the cleanup phase. For close-up shots I would spend more time on it, but for this sort of shot I probably could spend less time since the details will not show up.
Grant Warwick got a running contest on his facebook page where we are to create liquids running over a shader ball. I believe he had in mind honey/chocolate type material, but it was not specified and I wanted to try out some water modeling. I’m still not where I want to be, but I got closer to what I am looking for on my second try.
